Cultural Ambassador

Cultural Ambassadors are our premier Fort Worth citizens who embrace the mission of Fort Worth Sister Cities International.  They believe in creating long lasting relationships and engage in mutually beneficial connections that build trust and friendship and dissolve misunderstandings and prejudices.
Cultural Ambassadors include board members, staff and members who are eager to welcome visitors to Fort Worth.  They give our visitors a unique glimpse into the multicultural heritage that is Fort Worth by introducing them to our cowboy lifestyle, showing them our world class museums, as well as fun dining and entertainment experiences.

A Cultural Ambassador could be as simple as greeting visitors at the airport who are new to the U.S. and Texas. Ambassadors provide a long lasting first impression and show our international guests our Texas hospitality.  Cultural Ambassadors also serve as day hosts and dinner hosts making sure our visitors receive the information they need, get the attention they deserve, and are provided a home away from home.

“ I have always enjoyed meeting new people, learning about different cultures and traditions, and experiencing new cuisine.  As a proud American and Texan, I also like introducing new things to people who are eager to listen and learn about our culture and the resources we have to share.  It’s exciting to see a smile on someone’s face or to see how interested they are in our history and cultural treasurers. When traveling we all know that experiencing a place through a locals point of view is very special.”
