Volunteer Opportunities
Host Families. Host families are needed for the International
Leadership Academy. This is an opportunity to make new
friends and learn about different and exciting cultures
by hosting an international student for 3 nights.
Calling All Fort Worth Families! Host a high school student from Italy, Germany, Japan, Indonesia, Hungary or Mexico!
- Join Fort Worth Sister Cities International this July in sharing our Fort Worth hospitality by hosting a student or a teacher from one of our sister cities participating in the International Leadership Academy. Hosting is needed for only 4 days ~ students spend part of their time in TCU dorms. This is a tremendous cultural enrichment and international experience for both your family and the visiting student.
- Host families do not need to have teenage students to host since international students will be in class with high school students all day. You may choose to host one or two students. Families with no children in the home are asked to host two students. All students have their own spending money ~ we only ask that the host families be willing to accept these students as part of their families during their brief stay. Host families are also needed for the adult teacher chaperones coming from our sister cities.
- The International Leadership Academy is a two week international issues forum that brings together high school students from Fort Worth with students from our sister cities. Students solve a global problem through cross-cultural discussions and work groups.
