Young Artists & Authors Showcase

Through the Young Artists and Authors Showcase students ages 13-18 have an opportunity to submit their art in six categories and receive cash prizes, as well as international recognition. Fort Worth Sister Cities International is holding the local Young Artists and Authors Showcase to choose student pieces to be submitted to the worldwide competition.

Global Gallery Night

Japanese Children’s Day

The Harvest Moon Festival

The Mid-Autumn or Harvest Moon Festival is a widely-celebrated holiday in China, and throughout Asia. On this night, it is said that the moon is at its brightest and fullest size, coinciding with the time of autumn harvest. Celebrate this 3,000 year old festival with moon cakes, lantern-making, poetry, music, and more!

Journey to Japan

September 30 - October 10

Join Fort Worth Sister Cities International as we journey to Japan! See the skyscrapers of Tokyo and the tranquil gardens of Kyoto. Special experiences during the trip will include an official celebration with our sister city, Nagaoka, Japan and an opportunity to witness and participate in the One Hundred Sacks of Rice Festival.
