Six delegates from Toluca are visiting Fort Worth Feb. 23-26. They are planning to attend the Mexico-US Sister Cities Mayors Summit in El Paso later in the week, but first they are coming to Fort Worth. The delegation is interested in learning more about how our community manages the challenges of domestic violence. Fort Worth youth athletes from a variety of sports have an opportunity of a lifetime to join Team U.S.A. and travel to Reggio Emilia, Italy for the seventh edition of the Tricolore Youth Sports Games. Fort Worth is excited to partner with our sister city of Guiyang, China for a student art contest to promote global awareness between the two cities. Artists will submit an original painting about what being from the Fort Worth community means to them. Fort Worth Sister Cities International welcomes 10 university students and two educators from Toluca, Mexico’s Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education for the Dual Language Immersion Camp for elementary students in partnership with the Fort Worth ISD (FWISD).
